Cold Breaths by Adikko Cold Breaths by Adikko
Yes, it was a bit cold... ;P

The photo was taken by my friend. Therefore, now I am the guy who is "being shot" :D. Of course, I have the right to post it, submit as print and stuff like that. I personally hate when someone steals my photos, aswell as my videos...

I think that it's better to talk a lot, than not too much ;). When you comment I know exactly what is ok about this picture, and I know what to focus on next time :).

It's not bi-polar, its just cold :D. Sometimes we have the feeling that winter is nearing it's end. Temperatures are above 0 celcius, the sun is shining. Even birds are singing their songs ;D. But then - "POW", and We have -10 degrees, a lot of snow, no more sunshine and you cannot hear the birds anymore ;P. So weather here 'is like a box of chocolates, you will never know what you will get' :D.

Thank you ;)

Just gorgeous. :D

The lighting around this is perfect- capturing your silhouette and displaying the cold breath perfectly. (Well, I guess if it's 'perfect' it would be displayed 'perfectly' :P)

So, where I come from, you freak out with excitement when you get a small, tiny puff of visible air coming from your mouth. This, however, looks like your a friggin dragon puffin out your fire.

I've never known breath to be so detailed, either. Not sure if you added this in or if it's just automatically so friggin gorgeous, but it is. The attention to small detail is stunning- especially because this isn't a complicated picture.

Very well done!

Wow, you just wrote the longest comment I've ever seen :D.

And you detailed everything... The funny thing is that I didn't know what is so intresting about this photo... I just saw it, loved, edited the RAW file, corrected it a bit. And posted it here. ;)

I did small editing such as correcting my 'uncorrectable' hair (I had a 'blank' spot). I also edited my nose, because it was red (because of the flashlight behind me) which didn't quite fit into the compositon. But these are only minor edits, I didn't do nothing to the smoke itself ;). It just came up this way.

Smoke looks like dragon? It's a very intresting insight, but yeah, it looks like it :D.

In Poland we have warm summers and cold winters :P. When we did this photo it was about 14 - 23 degrees (-10 to -5 Celcius). But today we had +10 degrees Celcius which is about 50 degrees fahrenheit... The weather here is a bit unstable :p.

Thank you once again for this long comment, I really appreciate it :).

Wow, really? -feels awesome- What can I really say though? I talk a lot. :P

Yeah, definitely minor edits. :D What a great capture! :D

Oh wow. Talk about bi-polar weather. o.O

Not a problem! Thank you for sharing your work. :)

Ahahha I've done that. ^^;

:D Well that's good to know! Thank you. :)

Ahahahaha nice! Florida is similar, but without such extreme differences, (and mainly in the heat :P)

Never a problem. Nice conversing with you! :D

You're welcome :)

In Florida you have a lot of rain, don't you? In my city grass is now very dry :p. It's funny, because in the forest nearby you can still find snow :D.

Talking with you is a pleasure! I wish I had more people in my surroundings like you, because sadly, not everyone is nice and warm... But still, it would be boring without those people, everyone would be nice. I can't even imagine this kind of situation :D.

Oh yes, we do. We find it ironic (or I do) that we are called the 'sunshine state'... and yet there's sooo much rain. Hence, the thunderstorm state. :P

Grass becomes dry here during the winter- it still rains, but not as much. Not like our grass is really ever healthy :P Oh cool. :D

:D Very true... if everyone was nice, our days would be much different. Boring, like you said. Ahahah. Agreed. :D

I think that Florida is called the 'Sunshine state' because of all those adverts and colorful pictures of sunshine taken at the beaches, lakes, simply said: everywhere :). I was thinking about Florida in that way for a very long time, but then I started watching videos on YouTube, sometimes the news, which showed me what the weather really is...

Thunderstorms? I really hate those... And tornados must be one of the most messed up things. I hope that those are not frequent where you live...

I just remembered something :D. I recently saw an photograph of an newspaper in which there was this huge article with photo of 'American Highway' with two large beer ads (this photo had something special, probably this unusual brightness, which told me, that this was Florida :D). Of course, the newspaper was printed in the old, socialistic Poland, so there was reserved place for the proper propaganda. The propaganda comment said: They (Citizens of US) may have better asphalt, but the big commercials are made to distract the driver! I sometimes think, what other intresting stuff was printed back then...

I can dig it! How did you get the blue lighting?
Reply
:iconadikko:
Adikko Featured By Owner Feb 26, 2011  Hobbyist Photographer
It was a normal flashlight, trigged wirelessly. But the blue color wasn't so visible. Good for me I shoot this photo in raw, so I tried something with the white balance and I got this ;).

If you would dig it I would be very proud! :)
